JUNETEENTH PRESS RELEASE, NEW YORK CITY, June 19, 2020 – On this important day of Juneteenth, we should honor this historic occasion by coming together. We at Family Federation for World Peace and Unification believe that we are all the family of God. The ongoing protests that have sparked as a result of the injustices against Rayshard Brooks, Ahmad Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Christian Cooper, George Floyd and countless others, are a reflection of the grief that our black brothers and sisters have carried as a result of the racial discrimination that has stained our American history. This ungodly hubris has made it impossible to find lasting peace, and weakened our capacity to lead the world as One Nation Under God.

A fast growing number of God’s children are tired of this mistreatment and are seeking to make it right. We see our streets filled with people crying out for change. Peace Starts with Me means each of us has the power and responsibility to affect change. Stand with us in support of our black brothers and sisters as we come together for a Peace Starts with Me Virtual Rally on August 1, 2020 at peacestartswithme.com. Scheduled to appear as the keynote speaker will be Bishop Noel Jones of City of Refuge megachurch in Los Angeles, CA.

Let us come together across races and denominations— as One Family Under God. May God continue to work through each of us to carry on this wave of change across America because Peace Starts With Me.

Peace is our choice. Peace Starts With Me is a call to all Americans to come together as one family under God, transcending boundaries and religious affiliations. Peace is not an option. It is a reality that we have to find within ourselves and spread to our family, society and nation.

Thousands of people have come together under the unifying banner of peace at our Peace Starts with Me events. We kicked off in New York City in 2017 at Madison Square Garden. Next stop drew a capacity crowd rally at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island in late 2018. In 2019 Peace Starts With Me landed in Los Angeles and then Las Vegas. We're not stopping there! We plan to inspire others to lift their voices too.

Join us in this glorious celebration of the vital importance of peace.

We are only limited by the boundaries we create within ourselves. We live in a world that is sadly too familiar with those boundaries. So familiar that we've ceased believing that peace is even possible. Here at Peace Starts With Me we want to put our time, energy, and hearts into finding what unites, strengthens and empowers us to allow the internal space for peace to start within you and me. That's the energy behind all of our events.

Music is a universal language that moves our hearts. It has the power to inspire people everywhere, no translation needed. Every one of our big events features headline acts you won’t see perform together anywhere else. Attend Peace Starts With Me to see and hear astonishing talent. Our events feature the 500-Voice Choir. You can sign up individually — or your whole vocal team —  to participate as well!

Our big events are state-of the-art productions. They feature top-notch motion graphics, great sound and are in premiere locations. From Madison Square Garden, the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, to mega churches in Los Angeles, you are invited to participate in the Peace Starts with me story. The visually stunning stage graphics and lighting enhance every aspect of your experience.

The heart of our events is the keynote address. The message will inspire you, challenge you, and open you up to a greater worldview. Our events are designed to equip you with the tools to be a peacemaker now. If you and the other people who attend the event live a life of peace, your collective effort is what will create the world we all desire to see...Peace Starts With Me.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, Founder

“Today we come together from all races, religions, denominations and political affiliations to stand for peace. Pointing the finger, looking only at the “speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye” (Matthew 7:3 NIV) prevents us from seeing that peace starts within each one of us. We cannot sit idly by and watch. This world is suffering and dying due to our ignorance… We must find solutions to these problems before it is too late. This means that self-centeredness, and nations that place their national interests first, will ultimately not survive…We must combine our efforts and work in unity in order to do that. I believe the core value of a peaceful nation is the spirit of selfless public service. This can bring the peace that is at the root of happiness. We need to see humanity as one great family by breaking down the walls in our hearts and eliminating even the boundaries between nations.”
