On July 15, thousands from around the nation gathered at Madison Square Garden for “Peace Starts With Me.” Here are a few interviews from people of a wide variety of faiths and backgrounds who were able to attend the amazing event!
"I liked what she said how the family, how the woman and the man, it's really not just the man, but the woman's place is important too in Christianity. And I think that's very important. We all worship one God, and that's the point. It doesn't matter what you call Him, but just know we have one God and I think that's what's most important."
"The words she was saying when she was talking about true love, I feel like if the whole world actually did show true love, and it starts in the family, then I feel like definitely the world would change. It would become a better place."
"It made me go 'Wow.' I don't understand Korean, but I put on my headphones and called the number and it was so good. It was all about love, it was all about appreciation and showing our appreciation to one another. The whole universe, we're all one: black, Korean, and whatever. It was awesome. And the artists, the music theme, it was so good. Yolanda was awesome. So I really enjoyed it. I want more of this. I want more. I really loved it."
